
Hatha Yoga
The student will learn classical asanas as well as learn some meditation and pranayama techniques. Over the course, the student will add postures, techniques and evolve their practice.
Yoga is done with the body, but is primarily done for the mind. The main benefits of this course will be learning techniques to calm the mind, manage stresses as well creating space in the body through greater flexibility.
Who is this Course For?
This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with a more established practice. It would benefit students looking to become more flexible in their bodies as well as those looking for approaches to managing stress, working with back pain or building mental and physical resilience and focus.
Will I need any equipment or materials?
The student should wear clothing which allows them to move freely and work in bare feet.
Practical information
- Students should be able to kneel and get up and down from the floor easily.
- To make the classes more accessible to all abilities, equipment such as blocks and belts will be used.
- The teacher may offer hands-on assistance and adjustments if appropriate
- Yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
- Changing room facilities are available.
- Please share any health concerns or changes with your tutor before and during the course. We encourage all students to take responsibility for their own wellbeing throughout their participation.

You will learn
Students will gain confidence and be able to take the postures, breathing and mediation techniques away, for both self practice at home, or apply in another yoga environment, such as a gym or yoga studio.
Meet the Tutor

Dan Hunter
Dan trained as a yoga teacher at the East London School of Yoga, under the guidance of Stewart Gilchrist, known throughout London for his popular, innovative and authentic classes. Prior to teaching, Dan had an almost 30 year career in the City. He found his yoga practice helped him to work with the challenges and stresses of a busy professional life, as it continues to help him today. He brings a mindful and compassionate approach to his yoga teaching, and enjoys sharing what he has learned with people from all backgrounds and walks of life. A life-long student, he continues to practice and study with his teacher.

Hatha Yoga
Before the course begins, you can choose to purchase either a full course ticket or a drop-in for the first class. Drop-in tickets for the remainder of the course will only become available after the first class and are subject to availability.
