Feminist and socialist
Nell Myers was born in the USA, but was living in London by the early 1970s. She was involved in the Women’s Liberation Workshop, and other campaigns related to the Women’s Liberation Movement in the UK. Later, she worked at Press Secretary for Arthur Scargill, a trade unionist and President of the National Union of Mineworkers 1981-2002. She formed a relationship with Scargill and he became her long-term partner.
