
Street Dance
This course focuses on Hip Hop, with movement rooted in street dance.
Each class offers a supportive and enjoyable space to work on movement, expression and the joy of dancing.
With weekly dance combinations, you will develop musicality, rhythm and expressive movement. Each session introduces a new choreography, designed to be accessible to beginners while also offering layers of challenge and interpretation for more experienced dancers.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for anyone who feels like dancing, from complete beginners to those with previous experience.
Will I need any equipment or materials?
Please wear dance attire or clothing which allow you to move and that you feel comfortable in. You can dance in sneakers, in socks or barefoot.
Practical Information:
- This course is drop in only.
- Students should be able to move comfortably in their own way. No prior dance training is required.
- Changing room facilities are available, please ask reception for the code.
- Please share any health concerns or changes with your tutor before and during the course. We encourage all students to take responsibility for their own wellbeing throughout their participation.
- These weekly Street Dance classes take place at Bishopsgate Institute, in the City of London

You will learn
By the end of the course, you will have gained confidence in expressing yourself through dance, learned some classics footsteps, how to dance in front of others, and most importantly to have fun.
Meet the host

Valentine Fauste-Gay
Valentine is a Hip Hop and Musical Theatre Jazz teacher with a strong foundation in performance and choreography. She trained at the Royal Academy of Music and has performed internationally in Paris, Singapore, and London. She wrote and directed a show for the Musical Theatre Fringe Festival of Singapore in 2022. Alongside her performance work, she has taught dance classes in Singapore and choreographed a school production of ‘The Addams Family’ in London. Her classes focus on having a great time, building confidence, and encouraging self-expression through movement.
