A great opportunity to work with two leading Lindy Hoppers – Leigh Richards and Scott Cupit teaching a high level workshop immersed in history, technical nuggets and some great dancing. Leigh and Scottie have taught a weekly class and at festivals together for the last four years and you can tell they are great pals. Their classes always have laughter and a passion for this dance and history nuggets are always part of every session. Take a chance and get involved!
The day will include two, two hour workshops and you can register for one or both of them.

Beginner/Intermediate
End the year ready to take your Lindy Hop to the next level. This will aim at newer Lindy Hoppers who want to be comfortable moving up a level and are keen for the feedback and keen to be pushed. This workshop will also incorporate the historical importance of the dance and wrap up some technical nuggets while enjoying some great lead and follow patterns. This class will be perfect for you if you have taken some classes but are still finding your way around a social dance floor. We want to build your confidence and create a workshop where you can ask all the questions you want.
1.30-2pm Lunch
2pm-4pm
High Level
This two hour session is suitable for those wanting to be pushed and open to being challenged. We’ll assume you are very familiar with a Swing Out and we’ll also trust you’re at a level of dance maturity prepared to review and challenge and visit issues like pulse, compression, frame, connection and how to wrap that all up and have fun on the dance floor. We want you to feel that you’re on a journey with your Lindy Hop and part of that journey involves stripping back the noise and focusing on the fundamentals.
Don’t forgot, our Christmas Party is on the same night so you’ll be all warmed up and ready to dance!

Meet the Hosts
Swing Patrol
Swing Patrol have been teaching swing dance and related styles across London since 2009. Swing Patrol are passionate about swing dancing and share this passion through their teaching of Lindy Hop, Charleston, Blues, Balboa and Solo Charleston - all dances which come under the Swing Dance umbrella. Swing Dancing is an African-American dance created at the beginning of the 20th Century in Harlem and is now danced all over the world. They have a fantastic team of teachers who will inspire, engage and ensure that you also have fun. It's a fun and joyful dance style and the teaching will reflect this.
