Celebrating Pride Month at Bishopsgate Institute

Bishopsgate Institute holds one of the largest - possibly the very largest - collections of LGBTQIA+ archives in the UK. All our archives document the stories of extraordinary ordinary people, including the remarkable individuals and organisations who have strived for social, political, and cultural change.
In addition, we are proud to partner with community organisations and groups to host regular social activity and events, including a lot of dancing at which anyone can lead, or follow, or both. We have therefore invited DJ Charles Chan (of the Pink Jukebox) to provide the soundtrack for our celebration, for which the last hour will turn into a dance floor.

We'll invite attendees on short tours to introduce you to our collections, and you can come back any time to dig more deeply for free and with no appointment.
If you have never been inside the Institute building before, but have walked past a hundred times (we hear this a lot), come in and see for yourself what goes on behind our ornate arch and turrets.
If you can join us, please RSVP by Friday 15 May.
