Melissa Addey
Melissa Addey spent fifteen years in business, developing new products, and mentoring entrepreneurs. In 2015, she became a full-time author. In 2016, she was the Leverhulme Trust Writer in Residence at the British Library, where she continues to run monthly workshops for authors on craft and business skills. She has self-published 14 books, including three historical fiction series. Two of her books have been selected for Editor’s Choice by the Historical Novel Society, while a third won the 2019 Novel London award. She has a PhD in Creative Writing. Her PhD thesis focused on the creative interplay between fact and fiction in historical fiction.
