Melanie Plumley is retired from over 40 years as a broadcast and sound engineer. In her spare time she is also a musician and a qualified teacher and performer on the organ. She has a particular interest in LGBT themes having fathered two now adult children with her ex-wife who remains a close friend. Mel has now been married to her husband for the almost 8 years. She also does voluntary work with a charity that promotes LGBT inclusivity in schools.
