Co-operation
Bishopsgate Institute’s Special Collections and Archives hold possibly the most substantial collection documenting the history and activities of the co-operative movement in London, Essex and the South East.
We offer a wide range of books, pamphlets, reports and journals exploring the history and activities of the movement in the Co-operative Movement Collection. We hold archives of individual activists such as Robert Marshall and Caroline Ganley. You’ll also find original material produced by a wide variety of organisations, such as the London Co-operative Society, the Co-operative Party, the International Co-operative Alliance and Women's Co-operative Guild.
