The Pink Dancers' Winter Ball 2017: "Rouge et Noir"

LGBT Ballroom & Latin Dance demonstration team, The Pink Dancers, make their annual return to Bishopsgate Institute for The Pink Dancers’ Winter Ball. A glamorous evening of ballroom dancing for members of the LGBT community and their friends, with a special performance by The Pink Dancers.

The Pink Jukebox

From September to December 2017 Bishopsgate Institute is delighted to welcome The Pink Jukebox, a Ballroom and Latin dance club for members of the LGBT community and their friends. With classes followed by social dancing, these events are open to dancers of all levels, from absolute beginners to the more experienced.

Archive launch: Switchboard: the LGBT+ Helpline

Join us to celebrate the valuable work that Switchboard has carried out over the last 43 years, and to welcome the Switchboard Archive to Bishopsgate Institute where it will be made accessible to the public for generations to come. There will be the opportunity to explore the Archive through a pop-up display, and hear short talks from Switchboard representatives. Drinks will be available to purchase from our pop up bar.

Are you new to Swing dance? Looking to venture onto the social dance floor? Look no further. Swing Den is a social dance especially for beginners (though everyone is welcome). Join us for a selection of songs, verse and scenes from the man they called ‘The Master’. Performers Charlotte Vaughan and Tim Southgate will take you through their favourite pieces of Noël Coward’s work in a specially commissioned festive cabaret accompanied by Musical Director Matheson Bayley and directed by Anna Pool.
