A six-week course for those who have previously completed our Absolute Beginners course or have some previous experience in tap dancing and wish to learn new skills and improve their technique. This course will cover more advanced steps and routines.
Who is this course for?
As this course is designed for those who have tap experience, or who have completed our Absolute Beginners Course, you will learn more advanced steps and combinations. You will continue to strengthen the ankle muscles with exercises, and spend more time on technique and routines.
Will I need any equipment or materials?
You should wear tap shoes and comfortable clothes you can move in.
Do I need any skills or knowledge?
You should have previously completed our Absolute Beginners course, or have equivalent experience (six lessons or more) in tap dancing.
Meet the Tutor
Lucinda Lawrence is currently appearing as Margaret and 1st cover Violet in 9 to 5 at the Savoy Theatre, West End. She also narrates BBC1’s Garden Rescue. Lucinda’s other theatre credits include: Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray (UK Tour), Young Beryl in Liver Birds Flying Home (Royal Court, Liverpool), Fiddler on the Roof (Chichester Festival Theatre), On The Town (Regents Park Open Air Theatre), Cherry Sundae in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Rhoda in White Christmas (Dominion Theatre), Mimi in Guys and Dolls (Chichester Festival Theatre), and Rhonda in Cool Rider (Duchess Theatre).
Individual drop-in sessions are available for this activity.
The first drop-in session can only be booked in-person at reception. All remaining sessions will be available to book online 24 hours before the start of the second session.
