This walking tour will take place in person, meeting at the exit to St Paul’s Underground Station at northern exit on Cheapside.
This walk will reveal some of the City’s fascinating public artworks. From memorials to past Londoners to modernist sculptures, from sculptures that reflect the ideals of the city, to site-specific interventions that challenge the public space in which it is placed, you will encounter the diversity of art that exists across the City, and some of its most intriguing artworks.

Anyone with an interest in contemporary art and London and its history.
Will I need any equipment or materials for this course?
None, but comfortable walking shoes are advisable, together with clothing appropriate for the weather.
How we’re keeping you safe
Because we would like to keep the staff and each other safe, we expect and recommend face coverings to be worn the public areas that can become crowded. These are the corridors, toilet areas and the queues at the bar. There will also be an event-specific QR code that guests will be asked to scan on arrival.

Meet the Tour Guide
Steve Smith is a lecturer and artist. Steve’s research looks at architecture, place and memory, with particular interest in psychogeography and the topography of London. Steve leads walks on London’s modern architecture and public art, has also has experience of teaching art, visual culture theory and architecture at several universities in the UK.
