Who is this course for?
This course is for those who have already completed a Level 1 course or are familiar with the Mindfulness of Breathing and Loving Kindness meditations. You will go deeper in practice with less instruction and more space.
Will I need any equipment or materials?
You will need to wear comfortable clothes that are not too tight or restrictive. Changing room facilities are available.
Do I need any skills or knowledge?
You should have completed The Art of Meditation and Mindfulness Level 1, or have equivalent previous meditation experience.
You will learn
- To meditate with others and have a sense of the value and supportiveness of meditating in a group
- A more solid idea of mindfulness, being 'present' and of working with your own mind in meditation
- Recognise the benefits of mindfulness and meditation practice in your own life including calmer states of mind, brighter energy, self awareness, confidence and increased physical wellbeing.
Meet the Tutor
Andrew Burton has been teaching meditation since 2005. He teaches for the London Meditation Project as well as running courses in Hertfordshire. Since 1993 he has attended over 40 residential meditation retreats and studied under numerous teachers including Paramananda, author of 'Change Your Mind'. He is passionate about teaching meditation to beginners and how meditation can enhance the quality of people's lives.
