This style of yoga helps release tension, improve posture, and gradually retrains the body to become stronger, more supple, and healthy.
Who is this course for?
This course is for those who have completed two to three terms at Bishopsgate Institute, or who have substantial previous experience, and wish to deepen their understanding of the practices. For Level 2 and beyond you should be steady in standing poses and familiar with inversions.
Do I need any previous skills or knowledge?
None required. Any student suffering from an injury or condition that could be made worse by exercise should consult with their doctor or physical therapist before beginning the course. Adaptations and modifications can be provided to suit requirements and ability levels.
Will I need any equipment or materials?
Please wear clothing which allows you to move freely and work in bare feet.
This term, all students will be required to bring their own yoga mats. We will not be providing mats.
How we’re keeping you safe
Because we would like to keep the staff and each other safe, we expect and recommend face coverings to be worn the public areas that can become crowded. These are the corridors, toilet areas and the queues at the bar. There will also be an event-specific QR code that guests will be asked to scan on arrival.
If you test positive for Covid-19 or are asked to isolate and are not able to attend your class or pre-booked event, please contact the Bishopsgate Box Office for further information (email@example.com). Please do not come to the Institute in person if you have symptoms or have tested positive.
In addition to these measures, Bishopsgate Institute has strict cleaning protocols in place and ventilation throughout the building. There are also numerous hand-sanitising stations available and touch-free drinking fountains. Find out more about how we’re keeping you safe.
You will learn
By the end of the course, you will know:
- How to perform more challenging yoga postures, so that you experience their health benefits on the physical body (muscular, skeletal, and inner organs) and the mental body
