This course will take place in person.
Having a good grasp and basic classical dance technique is highly recommended.
The class will be cumulative from beginning to the end of term.
Ballet Improvers is an excellent way to workout, tone and increase flexibility/range of motion.
Who is this course for?
This course is for those who have already completed Ballet for Beginners sessions and feel ready to move on to the next level, or for those who feel confident to come into a classical dance classroom environment in which the pace of the class will move that little bit quicker and cover more material.
What can I expect?
The class will build upon the basics of Ballet for Beginners (please see course description). Ballet Improvers will also include more démi-pointe, adage, grand battement and preparation for and/or turning technique and jumping.
Will I need any equipment or materials?
Fitted athletic clothing and ballet technique shoes, or socks.

Wearing a face mask is no longer compulsory but we ask you to consider others when in our building and especially when spending time in crowded and enclosed spaces where you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet. You will see many of our staff and volunteers continuing to wear face masks and we are keeping the perspex screens at our reception desks.

Meet the Tutor
David is a professional dancer having trained in France, the UK and the USA. He has been performing for 20 years and has travelled around the UK, Europe, the USA, India and Japan. David has been a performing artist at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and for English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera, Welsh National Opera, The Dallas Opera and the Orfeo Experience. David also danced with Showfabrik (Germany and Austria), Ballet Theatre UK, Madonna, Hack Ballet, Combination Dance, BBC, ITV and Channel 4. David became a qualified ballet instructor from the Royal Academy of Dance in 2017. Since qualifying, David has taught at London Boys Ballet School, Urdang Academy, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Aakash Odedra, British Ballet Organisation, Shiamak Davar International and City Academy.
