
Ballet for Beginners
The classes will be cumulative from the beginning to the end of term. Ballet for Beginners is an excellent way to work out, tone the body, and increase range of movement.
Who is this course for?
This course is primarily for beginners to ballet. It’s also suitable for those with some experience who are looking to refresh, or for those coming back from injury.
Will I need any equipment or materials?
You will need fitted athletic clothing and ballet technique shoes, or socks.
This course has improved my physical fitness and well-being. I feel much more flexible than before attending, and have already signed up to repeat the course.

Meet the Tutor

David Murley
David is a professional dancer having trained in France, the UK and the USA. He has been performing for 20 years and has travelled around the UK, Europe, the USA, India and Japan. David has been a performing artist at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and for English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera, Welsh National Opera, The Dallas Opera and the Orfeo Experience. David also danced with Showfabrik (Germany and Austria), Ballet Theatre UK, Madonna, Hack Ballet, Combination Dance, BBC, ITV and Channel 4. David became a qualified ballet instructor from the Royal Academy of Dance in 2017. Since qualifying, David has taught at London Boys Ballet School, Urdang Academy, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Aakash Odedra, British Ballet Organisation, Shiamak Davar International and City Academy.
