Tap dancing has been a fixture of popular musicals and movies since the Golden Age of Hollywood. Made famous by the likes of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and still seen on the West End stage today, tap dancing is a lively and physical form of dance.
You may be a performer wishing to add tap to your dance repertoire, or brush up on your existing skills. You may be an enthusiast wishing to try your hand/feet at this fun dance style. We have courses for all levels.
This course is intended for more experienced dancers/those who have completed The Next Step and have been advised by the tutor that they should progress to this level.
The class moves at a quicker speed, and some corner work involves turning. Combinations of different steps are put together throughout the class, rather than being broken down. Nearing the end of the class we work on a combination involving syncopated rhythms and tap steps, to a range of different songs to keep you on your toes!
For more information about this course and what you will learn, see the course outline
. Please note there are only five sessions on this course.
We also offer drop-in classes for this course at £12 per class. However, you can save between £0.5 and £3 per class if you book the 5-week course. Book a drop-in
