A new generation of innovative directors creating daring and dazzling films, plus the emergence of the ‘blockbuster’, contributed to a fresh golden age of Hollywood cinema in the 1970s. This course will introduce some of the major film-makers, films and industry changes that contributed to this cinematic rebirth.

Film clips will include The Godfather, Jaws, Taxi Driver, Annie Hall and Star Wars. No prior film knowledge is required.
