Tutor opportunity: tap dancing
Bishopsgate Institute runs a learning programme for adults comprising courses, workshops and masterclasses. We offer a broad programme, with students coming to us to pursue special interests, to build their confidence in a particular discipline, to meet like-minded people, and for personal and professional development.
It is our intention that all students on our performing arts courses – whether they are beginners keen to try something new or trained performers looking to expand their skill set – receive a professional standard of tuition, and we programme with this in mind.
Looking ahead to the Spring Term 2022 (January to April), we are planning to add tap dancing to the programme, and we are looking for a tutor to deliver these classes.
Classes will be pitched at beginner level, for students with no previous dance experience, and will build the basic technique of American tap style. They will take place during the week, at lunchtime or in the evenings.
If you are interested in working with us to deliver these classes, you will need to be able to demonstrate previous success teaching groups of adults. Our standard hourly rate for tutors is £32.
Tutors must be able to commit to teaching for the whole term, as we can only accommodate depping in exceptional circumstances.
Please send expressions of interest to Simon Vickery (email@example.com) by the end of Wednesday 27th October, including your CV, two referees, and an outline of how you would approach teaching this class.
