Britain has a long history of dissent and protest and has long been a place of refuge for the world's rebels and revolutionaries. In recent years, a growing disenchantment with mainstream politics and the economic crisis has seen the rise of numerous single issue protest movements and social unrest. Yet more laws are enacted which are compromising the right to protest. This discussion explores the history of anarchism and asks can we still resist the establishment and if so, how?

Dan Hind (author), Bibi van der Zee (journalist and author), Alex Butterworth (historian and author) and Ted Vallance (University of Roehampton) discuss these issues with Neil Denny (Little Atoms).

Curated with Little Atoms.
Little Atoms is a live talk show on Resonance 104.4FM exploring ideas and culture, with guests from worlds of science, journalism, politics, arts, academia and human rights. The show is presented and produced by Neil Denny and Padraig Reidy.
