Archives Tour - Women's and Feminist History
Thursday 8 March 2018
18.30 - 19.30

Bishopsgate Institute's Special Collections and Archives chart women's history from the nineteenth century onwards. This tour is the perfect introduction for anyone wanting to learn more about this area of the collection.

Led by Nicky Hilton, who is the Library and Digital Archives Manager at Bishopsgate Institute where she looks after its extensive collection of published and unpublished materials. She is passionate about the history of activism and the role of the archivist in preserving and promoting counter-narratives with particular reference to women's activism and feminist protests. Nicky joined Bishopsgate Institute in 2013, having previously worked for Conway Hall Ethical Society and the University of Oxford. Follow Nicky on Twitter.
