The Latvian pianist Olga Jegunova possesses a remarkable musical imagination combined with a seriousness of purpose and discipline. Olga has won prizes in many major international piano competitions including the Ginette Gaubert competition in Paris, the Steinway-Folderpreis in Hamburg, and the prestigious Geza Anda Concours in Zurich. After her studies at the Jazeps Vitols Latvian Music Academy, Olga moved to the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg and then to the Royal College of Music and Royal Northern College of Music.

This concert is part of the Young Artists Series showcasing new and emerging talent in the world of classical music. The series is presented in partnership with City Music Society.
