An exhibition and series of events inspired by the remarkable private photographs and commercial postcards found in the Libby Hall Collection at Bishopsgate Institute. The series will explore the role of dogs as both companions and workers during the First World War.
From Simon Blumenfeld’s fictionalised story of Doctor Barnardo, John Sommerfield’s tragic May Day to James Curtis’ classic There Ain’t No Justice, this series will bring the capital’s forgotten and marginalised literature to the attention of new readers.
In 2015 the Choir of the 21st Century are set to perform as part of our evening classical concert series and we welcome the return of our free lunchtime concerts in partnership with City Music Society on 16 January.
